About Us
Sequoia Services Group is comprised of experienced and talented engineers who have successfully created software projects using a wide array of technology. From Java to .NET to Ruby - we have experienced personnel. Need a specialized web service that talks to a heterogeneous back end? We can help. Even something as esoteric as a one-off custom data adapter for MS Enterprise Project Server is not unusual for us.
All of our engineers have a minimum of ten years experience in their specialty. This level of experience is one of the cornerstones of our success as a company and accounts for our successful on-time and on-budget delivery record.
Thomas Wagner
The founder and principal of SSG, Thomas has worked in the technology industry, especially in the area of project management and consulting for over 15 years. As a former Vice President of Server Development at SkillJam , Thomas spearheaded innovative software projects, most notably among them a .NET framework utilized by SkillJam in the service of 25 million users. He has successfully delivered software and infrastructure projects in a variety of industries. Thomas has co-authored a book on the subject of database design and programming as well as numerous technical magazine articles. His most unusual application to date has been the design and development of a custom Manufacturing Resource Planning system employed across 4 locations in the US and Canada during the production of the International Space Station.
Dan Madoni
A Managing Partner of Sequoia Services Group, Dan is an ex- Microsoft Program Manager who has the distinction of having his work included in shipped product versions of MS Tools. To date he has delivered important applications in a variety of languages, including Java, C++ , C#, VB.NET , VB and Ruby. As a consummate software engineer there does not seem to be a language syntax or programmers tool that Dan cannot conquer in very short order. He has created shrink-wrap retail products that compete at the level of MS Access, has produced XML translation engines before BizTalk was thought of and participated in very large scale enterprise projects such as the central loan processing engine at GMAC. Dan possesses a unique ability to produce elegant yet simple code. This ability also enables him to architect superior and maintainable solutions to often complex business problems. Anyone can solve a problem in thousands of lines of code - Dan will typically solve it with very little, extremely elegant code which reflects an extraordinary amount of architecture, thought and design.
Alexander Kent
With a great eye for detail and a love of unusual programming challenges, Alexander Kent has the artistic eye of a designer and the logical mind of a developer. In addition Alex brings tremendous knowledge and experience of network technologies to the team. Setting up and correctly configuring a production server farm - including routers and security - are a snap for Alex. From Cisco routers to SonicWall firewalls and Barracuda spam solutions, Alexander has dealt with every aspect of the modern enterprise network. As a matter of fact the web server bringing this site to you has been created by him. On the programming end, Alex specializes in .NET. He is the principal developer of GridJunction , Vista CallerID and WestList.
Julius Kelly
Julius is the Ektron and DotNetNuke specialist on our team. As most of his colleagues at SSG, he has more than ten years of development background. He has been involved with several noteworthy startups, among them CornerStone and Leads360. Julius loves XML / XSLT, Sometimes it would seem there isn’t anything that he cannot transform with an xslt stylesheet. This specialty is useful to customers who are dealing with disparate data transformations or alternately in the use of certain Content Management Systems.
Michael Makar
Michael is a consummate Quality Assurance engineer with a talent for test automation. He is among the rare group of QA's that feel as comfortable writing code that exercises an application, as they do running popular tools such as LoadRunner. It is his attention to detail coupled with the understanding of programmers that have made Michael a valuable asset in our projects.
