DirectTV - Playing Games via Satellite

Thomas Wagner, during his tenure as VP of Server Development with Fun Technologies (SkillJam) spearheaded the conversion of the company's mobile gaming platform into a system that would interface with the DirectTV Satellite Television broadcaster. Some of the challenges that had to be overcome included the diametrically opposed requirements of the game software - which typically needs as much bandwidth as possible to run at the best resolutions - and the Satellite TV infrastructure which had extremely limited bandwith for non-broadcast content.
Technologies Used: Javascript, ASP.NET, C# , Flash, several proprietary framworks by DirectTV and mobile gaming partnerships
